Ventrilo Volume Normalization.
If you already have Ventrilo installed, it is highly recommended that you enable volume normalization by following the steps below. This will compensate for users with quiet or loud microphones and force them to a normalized volume level.
--Go to Setup
--Enable Direct Sound
--Select the SFX Button
--Select Compressor and click Add.
--Under Compressor Properties use the following settings
--Gain = Adjust for how loud you want people to be. (I use 15)
--Attack = 0.01
--Release = Around 500
--Threshold = Around -30
--Ratio = 100
--Pre delay = 4.0

Usage Guide
Following is a quick image-based guide to get yourself connected to the server.
Here is your basic Ventrilo window.
Note that the icons under "Bindings" may appear as textual buttons to the right.

Click on the arrow next to "User Name."

From here, you're going to want to create your user name. Click on the "New" button.

Enter your user name and press "OK" to enter.

fter entering your name, press "OK." once more to exit the "Setup User" window.

Back at the main window, click on the arrow next to "Server."

Click on the "New" button.

Enter "Clan Team Xtreme" as the server name and press "OK" to enter.

Enter the required information and press "OK" when done. Note: Server details can be copied below.
Host: vent.clanteamxtreme.com
Port: 4672
Password will be listed at the top of this page (if one is currently set).

Back on the main page press "Connect" or "OK" to connect to our server.
